Similar to how I like to refresh my wardrobe for a new season, I love adding new products to my beauty routine. I am always looking for products that make my life easier and yet still deliver great results. The reality is, as a mom, I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to getting ready in the morning and by the end of the day I don't feel like fussing.
Like many, I get comfortable with the products I am using and it can be overwhelming with all that is available out there. Luckily I have friends who are in the know, like PR boss lady Brit Turner, and introduce me to the latest and greatest things in the (beauty) market. Thanks to Brit, I had the opportunity to experience a facial at Toska European Spa in Charlotte, NC. The experience (and results!) were heavenly.
Skin Refresh with Toska European Spa
Toska Husted, skincare expert and spa owner, selected the "brightening and lifting bespoke facial" for me. She had me at brightening. The treatment combines an element of her "remodeling" facial, which uses the virtues of electric currents to tone and sculpt the facial muscles. The end results were truly amazing. I left looking (and feeling) like I had a few extra hours of sleep and had been forgiven (for a few) of my past skin sins (sun!). Post-facial I saw the softening of fine lines and wrinkles. Yes folks, I'm 36, and it is happening. Aging, that is. But I loved how Toska talked about skin and aging. Something to be embraced, yet cared for with the best products available in the market. Specifically, she swears by and uses/sells exclusively Biologique Recherche from Paris, France. I have fallen in love with the line's infamous "P50". In just a few short weeks, using the products and routine Toska has customized for me, I can drastically tell a difference in my skin.
I feel it is important to note that a facial at Toska Spa is an investment, but one that can be justified given the overall experience and results. For me it is likely something I will do quarterly, versus monthly, alongside using the products at home. If you are in the Charlotte or Charleston area, I encourage you to check it out. It will not disappoint!
The space at Toska is fresh and inviting.

A blend of texture-building particles bring out hair's natural wave and personality while providing grit and grip for an instantly more manageable, easy-to-style hair. This shampoo is good for no-fuss, amazing-looking textured hair, straight out of the shower. Shop at RandCo.com and select salons nationwide.
3. Dry Shampoo: I have finally found a dry shampoo I love. One that doesn't feel super grimy, but adds the perfect volume and buys you more time from having to wash your hair. Sold! Shop at IGKHair.com, Sephora, and sephora.com.
4. Bobbi Brown Foundation (Intensive Skin Serum): I have never been a huge fan of foundation, avoiding it like the plague. This foundation has changed my mind. I tried it during a visit to WOO Skincare & Cosmetics and was shocked when I saw myself in the mirror. It is lightweight and offers the perfect glow and coverage. Even better, it has a built in SPF 40.
