I love these chic tassel earrings by Hart. This statement earring can easily transition with you throughout your day. Elevate your casual daytime look (think great jeans and a t-shirt), add that something special for date night, or complement your gown for a gala. I promise you will be reaching for your Hart tassels on the regular!

I had so much fun styling my Lucky Peaches and even more fun getting to know designer Hart Hagerty. See our interview below.

Noteworthy: What inspired your tassel earrings?

Hart: For six years I lived in Shanghai, working as a lifestyle/fashion editor and trend researcher. It’s also where I launched my line of one-off jackets featuring vintage Chinese embroideries. In search of trims and buttons, I’d go to markets and came across tassels, which I turned into earrings for myself and friends. Fast forward to living in New York last year - I literally could not walk out of my Chelsea apartment without getting compliments on my earrings! I saw a lot of tassel earrings in the market, but none were refined, chic classics for the modern woman. So I saw potential. In May 2016, I hopped on a plane back to Shanghai, set-up production with local Shanghainese ladies, and moved back home to Charleston to open my studio. Haven’t looked back since!

Noteworthy: Do you have any favorites in the collection?

Hart: The Topknots are my signature. I wear the Cornflower Blue and Sage Green topknots almost daily. My earrings have a make-up effect - they make my green eyes pop! I also love Darling styles, made from shimmery metallic thread. The Disco Darlings and Champagne Shimmers really light me up.

Noteworthy: One word that best describes you as a designer.

Hart: Thoughtful. I spend a lot of time listening to my friends, customers and boutiques, trying to improve each earring batch after batch.

Noteworthy: Who are your style icons?

Hart: This is hardly an original answer but I’ve always admired Parisian style. It’s incredibly sexy, cool yet simple. Nobody can beat Jane Birkin, but Insta-darling Jeanne Damas and her Rouge ingenous come pretty close.

Parisian inspo is a constant, but lately I’ve also been drawn to 1960s Lilly Pulitzer. The tropical vibes of Slim Aarons photographs of Lilly and her friends in Palm Beach definitely inspired my Charleston Collection of earrings (out in May!).

Noteworthy: Where can we find/buy your earrings?

Hart: My website: harthagerty.com. I’m also carried in about 20 stores in the Southeast. I’m quickly expanding with boutiques on the West Coast as well internationally in Europe, Canada and Australia.
